Frequently asked questions
Do you ship internationally?
At this stage, Finding Joy ships within Australia and New Zealand via registered AusPost only. I'm hoping to open up international shipping in the future. If you are from another region, please get in touch and I'll see what I can work out for you.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Ready-to-ship pieces are dispatched within 1–3 business days. Custom and made-to-order pieces take approximately 2–3 weeks to create before they ship. All orders include tracking.
What's the difference between "ready to ship" and "made to order"?
Ready-to-ship pieces are already made and waiting to go. Made-to-order pieces – like custom commissions – are created especially for you after you order, which is why they take a little longer.
Are your paintings originals or prints?
Both, depending on the piece – it's stated clearly on each product page. Originals are one-of-a-kind; prints are reproductions of an original hand-painted or hand-lettered design.
Can I return or exchange my order?
Because pieces are made in small batches – and custom pieces are made just for you – I'm not able to offer change-of-mind returns. If your item arrives faulty or not as described, I'll sort it out under Australian Consumer Law. Full details on the Refunds & Returns page.
How does a custom commission work?
You can place an order for a custom commission via the online store - there are fields to complete where you can include details about your idea – the words for the quote, poem, prayer, or images and colours that mean something important to you. Once you place your order, I'll get in touch via email and work with you on wording, placement and colours before I start. Custom pieces take approximately 2–3 weeks and start from $140 for an A4 sized painting.
Do you offer framing?
Not directly, but I can source a frame for your piece on request – this will affect your shipping cost. Paintings and prints arrive in a cello sleeve with a backing board, ready to pop into a frame of your choice.
I have another question – how do I reach you?
Get in touch via my Contact page - I read and reply to every message myself.
