I’ve never participated in the Inktober Challenge, but have wanted to for years. This year I thought I’d be up for it, but I struggled with the list of prompts and all the other October prompt lists I found on Instagram were either Halloween or Fall-focused. I’m not really into either.
So, as the clock neared midnight on the 30 September, I jotted down a list of 31 prayers I’ve been meaning to letter. There’s no rhyme or reason to this list or its order other than the fact I’ve been wanting to letter these for a long time (many have been on post-it notes on my whiteboard in the study since we moved into this house!). I’m hoping having an entire month dedicated to inking/lettering/drawing/making is a good opportunity to do exactly that.
So consider this my own unofficial October challenge to myself. You’re welcome to join me (I’d love you to tag me or use the #prayerprompts or #praybylettering hashtags if you do) but truly, I intended to do this solo. I wanted to share it because I know being accountable is a good motivator (if there’s no deadline, it doesn’t get done) 🙊 Case in point, I’ve had this list in Evernote all day and I’m only sharing it now… with less than 2 hours of the day to go. 😜
I’m on annual leave at the moment, which is the only reason why I have the time and energy to be dedicating to this (this blog has been neglected to say the least!) but hopefully, this month will be fuel for this fire and set my creative spirit ablaze.
Anyway, here’s to a month of beautiful creations.
